NEWS and EVENTS
We are always doing new stuff whether its add new garden centres , picking up others from the competition or software developments, and so we would like to share this with you.
We had a very good Glee show last year where we picked up many garden centre leads, so we are going again. We didnt find Four Oaks as good so we have moved to the Outdoor Trade Show at Stoneleigh instead.

FOSS FEEDS
We first met Foss Feed at Four Oaks show cheshire and they kept our info on file until ready to change. Not only did they get all their existing products over saving relabelling the whole store. They also moved onto touch screen from a keyboard version. They find the biggest difference is using radio handsets direct into the system rather than older handsets that need docking

MORLEY NURSERIES
Having met at Glee we went out to see how we could help to give them get a way forward with their IT. They have been a G7 user for a long time and know the Extreme garden centre system well. However it has had few improvements, and the alternative Torex version was even slower when installed. Having backtracked by coming off Torex they needed to get modern software that relates to garden centres that is easy to use and can be supported. Good job they found us and are live on Open Retail system both in the garden centre and restaurant.

POPLE CENTRES
Pople garden centres run New Leaf garden centre and Dunstall Hall garden centre in the Chesterfield area of Yorkshire. The prime objective of computerising was to increase till flow and speed up the time credit cards take. Both centres were loaded from scratch and went live within weeks of each other. No extra tills just greater efficiency and now they are using radio handsets to for stock counting and deliveries. It all took three months to complete.

OUTDOOR SEPT 26-28 Stand 170
This developing show has been created to showcase outdoor clothing and equipment. The big name waterproofs and walking shoes , with lots of tents and camping equipment. The show takes place at the Agricultural show grounds at Stoneleigh , Warwickshire. These niche market shows and have far more interesting and far easier to park. Come and see for yourself.

WHITELEYS G C
When Whiteleys came under new management they needed to upgrade there epos solutions as one of their first priorities. Having run a G7 system and moved to Microsoft RMS from Davidson Richards , they still needed a reliable partner with good support. The evaluation process was extended to ensure they got this covered and so we got the job. Server replaced, tills replaced and now we have been able to introduce loyalty on epos for the first time.

USER GROUP NOV 7-8
Software is a living product and the retailers requirements are for ever changing and developing. Its hard to get around the whole user base and its hard for them to get off site too. We finally this annual get together is very useful to explain and train on all our new program developments. Its also good for them to meet other retailers too.

SENTINEL
Credit cards are a vital tool in taking money successfully on an epos system. The rules on security get tighter and tighter and the lastest pci compliance are no different. This means a new terminal has to be used called Sentinel and we have to test out against to offer it. We are pleased to say this is complete and new jobs wil go onto it and existing customers will upgrade to it as their contracts come round for renewal.

This essentially an farm shop trade organisation the runs its own exhibitions, which in recent years have taken place around the country at Telford and Bournemouth with the 2012 event taking place in Edinburgh. It you like cheese and cider tasting you should go. Much our focus is on showing integrated weighing scales as we are also and Avery-Berkel dealer.
