The resilience of till operations is paramount to a retail organisation. Open Retail have partnered with Digipos to supply either traditional modular tills, with keyboards, till drawers and display units -known as OpenXtill, or Digipos' Touch Screen till - OpenXtouch. Both sets of hardware are highly regarded in the marketplace and offer exceptional reliability and value for money. Customers can choose either of the types of till, or can mix and match them if necessary. Both OpenXtill and OpenXtouch offer industry beating functionality and can work stand-alone in case of network failure. OpenXservices is used to communicate the data between all devices and offers reliable and efficient updating tool that, in the event of failure, will continue to allow trading and will update itself once the connection is re-established. Till systems are chip and pin ready, and use leading specialist 3rd party software to handle payments.

Both till modules offer he same functionality, so retraining is not necessary. Features include loyalty, detailed and highly functional promotions, account sales, barcoded receipts for returns management and numerous security levels, by both operator level and value. Both OpenXtill and OpenXtouch come with3 years manufacturer's warranty for peace of mind, and rapid response on-site call-out can be included as part of your maintenance agreement.

OpenXmobile offers users the opportunity to access their systems from on the shopfloor, either for stock taking, queue busting, sales orders, goods inwards, wastage control or general enquiries. Using Wi-Fi, data is kept secure and reliable and makes retail easy. Using the latest Psion Workabout hardware, the OpenXmobile system can be designed to work across the whole site or in specific areas, such as the warehouse. The cost of installing the wireless Wi-Fi network can be justified by allowing all other pc's or pda's to access corporate or internet systems on the go.
